The EFCC recommend the expertise of Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS).

CCPAS are an established, nationally recognised body that works with Government and is well placed to offer advice and support. Throughout the year they conduct training session which are instructive, informative and well worth attending.

They recommend that every church has a written Child Protection Policy that is available to everyone, including the public.

However, to produce a written Policy takes many hours of discussion, questioning and rewrites before it is reasonable and practical.

If you go to the CCPAS website you’ll find a sample Protection Policy that can be adapted for individual churches. That does mean becoming members of CCPAS but it’s well worth the membership fee.

We hope this has been helpful and encourages you to take the necessary steps to protect yourselves. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of further help.
