With 100+ congregations, EFCC is always on the lookout for Pastors. We are always happy to liaise with churches when we spot a man looking for a church. However, many prefer to check out the church first and then approach them directly. So here are the churches that we know are currently searching for the man of God’s choice to be their Pastor.
Please note that none of our churches has Home Office clearance to recruit from overseas.
Libanus Evangelical Church
Libanus Evangelical Church are looking for a man to take up the role of Pastor/Teacher. One who will minister the word and be pastorally engaged in fellowship life. And have a heart for outreach in our local community. The long-term vision is for the pastor to be part of a multifaceted functioning leadership team.
Morriston is one of the oldest communities in the city of Swansea and has a residential population of some 10,000+ people. It is a traditional working-class community, which is reflected in the type of housing that surrounds the church buildings. The demographics of the area increasingly reflecting the multicultural nature of 21st century Britain.
The church’s current membership is around 60 people comprising of mature believers, young families, and young adults, the majority of whom live within a fivemile radius of the church. At present the leadership team consists of an interim senior pastor, an associate in training and church officers. The worshipping congregation at Libanus is both warm and responsive and our services would reflect a varied style of contemporary and traditional components of biblical worship.

Pastor/Revitaliser,
Birstall Community Church
Six miles from Leeds, seven miles from Bradford and nine miles from Wakefield, Birstall Community Church (BCC) sits close to the heart of of this West Yorkshire mill town. Predominantly a white working class population of around 14,000 is enriched by a small but growing number of non-Yorkshire born residents; the 2011 census indicating residents from 28 different countries living in our community.
Visitors to BCC always receive a Gospel-hearted welcome. But, because of our age and small number, we are restricted in what we can do beyond that. However, in 2022, we were supported by EFCC to engage a full-time elder, who has effectively pastored the church while helping us develop policies and systems that were lacking prior to his arrival. The logic being that an experienced pastor, as he is, would be ideally suited to get the church ready for a new, younger man – who could hit the ground running because all our policies and systems were up-to-date.
We are now ready to move to that second phase and are keen to recruit a special man! He will need to have a pastor’s heart … because most of us are elderly believers who need a gentle touch to lead us forward. He will need to have an evangelist’s heart …. because we are desperate to see men and women come to Jesus and we are limited in what we can do. He will have to have a heart that loves change … because we know that we are not the best ones to engage with a rapidly changing society. And he will have to have a patient heart … because sometimes are are a little slow on the uptake!
We are praying that we will have our new pastor in place by September 2024 but (much) sooner would be preferrable. As we are able, we would want to engage both our existing elder and the new pastor for a few months of overlap, to help our new man bed in quickly and securely.

Rochford Congregational Church
Rochford Congregational Church are looking to appoint a pastor to succeed Rev. David Saunders, following his fifty-four years of gospel ministry.
We are looking to call God’s servant, someone with pastoral leadership abilities with a 21st century outlook, a zeal for evangelistic outreach to the lost in the local community, and who can lead the church forward in spiritual and numerical growth.
The church is in the heart of Rochford, an attractive market town in Essex that is close to the countryside, and less than an hour away from London by train. The building the church meets in is in good order and has lots of potential. We have regular coffee mornings and weekly prayer and bible study meetings, but we are looking to increase our activities during the week. The church has declined in recent years, and we currently have a congregation of around 35.
We can offer a four-bedroom manse with garage and spacious garden on the Ashingdon Road, about 10 minutes’ walk from the church and town centre. We can offer a realistic stipend. Further information about the church can be found at rochfordcong.org.uk If you are interested in applying, please contact us by emailing Miss Caroline Starling – webmaster@rochfordcong.org.uk
Ministry Assistant, Christ Church Teddington
Christ Church is situated in Teddington, in the London Borough of Richmond. It is a town of about 10,000 people, and has boundaries with Hampton Wick, Hampton Hill, Twickenham and Kingston. The congregation includes people who travel from as far away as Epsom.
The church currently has about 20 regular attendees and a much smaller membership. There are several others who attend very occasionally. We currently have a pastor and one further elder.
The congregation has a well-appointed building which can seat over 125 with comfort. The congregation is firmly Protestant and Reformed, as well as being liturgical in style (with the flexibility called for in faithful worship).
We have been blessed by the Lord, and following sales of unused property we are in the position to consider hosting a student for the ministry, or assistant in ministry. We are seeking to purchase suitable accommodation for this purpose, and would offer this, all costs paid, in exchange for the man’s involvement within the congregation – which would consist of assisting in all areas of ministry, from preaching, to outreach, to cleaning! It would therefore partly be a ‘tent-making’ ministry, and applicants would need to consider how they could support their daily living requirements.
In the first instance, please contact the congregation on info@christ-church.org.uk
Please note that we are unable to accept applications from outside the UK.
Village Temple CC,
Mynydd Isa, near Mold
Pastor/Elder with leadership abilities
We are a well-established church on the edge of Mold in North Wales. Our membership is small and mature but we are keen to see Gospel growth in the community that we serve.
We are wishing to recruit a pastor or an elder with pastoral leadership abilities to lead the church into a period of growth. The thought is, that if not a pastor, a new ‘pastoral-leader’, with the Lord’s guidance, may grow from perhaps a part-time position, into a proper established pastor role.
We are therefore open to considering applicants who wish to remain in other employment, although the long-term vision is for a full-time, paid pastor.
For more information, contact our secretary, Sue Attwood.
Quinta Independent Evangelical Church
Located in the rural setting of Weston Rhyn, near Oswestry, Quinta is looking to appoint a pastor to replace the current incumbent, who is stepping down after 32 years ministry. This small church would suit a bi-vocational pastor or one who has an additional income stream.
More information about the church can be seen here: quintapress.webmate.me/Quinta_Church/Welcome.htm and here quintapress.com/QuintaChurch.html.
Marden Congregational Church, Kent
We are looking for a pastor to lead the work of replanting the church in Marden. The church has declined in recent years and revitalisation is needed in God’s grace. We currently meet in the afternoons each Lord’s Day as a group of about 6, and we believe that the Lord is guiding us to continue under the leadership of a pastor or pastoral team.
The rural village of Marden is about ten miles south of Maidstone. Many of the residents are commuters, and the village is developing with many new estates being built. We own the church building and two adjacent properties which are currently let out.
The church is part of the EFCC, and we are committed to the evangelical faith.
If you are interested in applying to be the revitalisation pastor, please contact Tom Brand (thomasbrand@efcc.org.uk) with your C.V. and a covering letter.
