Principles of the Congregational Independents. A brief survey of Congregational history, church order, confessions of faith, ministry, worship, and sacraments including the Savoy Declaration of Faith and Order, and the 1833 Declaration.

Many people know little of the history and doctrinal basis of the church they attend. The word ‘Congregational’ on the noticeboard has little meaning to them. Some think that Congregational churches ceased to exist with the formation of the United Reformed Church in 1972. This book demonstrates that Congregationalism has a long and noble history and that independent Congregational churches continue to exist and thrive. It also shows from the Savoy Declaration of Faith and Order of 1658 and the 1833 Declaration of Faith that Congregationalism is based on the Bible alone for its doctrine and practice.
