Ministers’ Prayer Conference 2026

We’re excited to invite you to the 2026 EFCC Ministers’ Prayer Conference, CALLED: Prayer and the Ministry of the Word. Bill James and Donald John MacLean will be teaching on aspects of Christian Ministry to encourage and challenge us. As the name implies, the MPC is for ministers of EFCC affiliated churches but also includes retired EFCC ministers and EFCC Personal Members. We also sometimes invite guests who we consider would particularly benefit and those studying with a view to future ministry.

Bill James took a degree in Chemical Engineering and worked for Glaxo Pharmaceuticals (now GSK) before training for the ministry at Toronto Baptist Seminary. He was Pastor of  Emmanuel Church, Lemmington Spa for 26 years before becoming Principal of London Seminary in January 2018.

Donald John MacLean is a minister of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of England and Wales, and serves as an elder at Cambridge Presbyterian Church, where he preaches regularly. With a background in senior leadership in the corporate finance sector, Dr MacLean also serves as a trustee of the Banner of Truth Trust and of Tyndale House, Cambridge. He edits the Presbyterian Network for EPCEW and is associate editor of the Banner of Truth magazine,

Venue

Our venue this year is once again the stunning Highgate House Conference Centre. This former coaching inn in the village of Creaton dates from 1663 and has been transformed into a modern and well-equipped conference centre. Highgate House is 15 minutes from the M1 and M6, and close to Northampton for fast connections from London and Birmingham.

Cost

We’re asking that ministers pay what you can afford between £190 and £240. For personal members the cost is fixed at £240. If you are not able to afford this, please contact Paul Walker at the EFCC office, we don’t want the cost to be the reason you can’t attend. Day rates are also available, contact the office if this is of interest.
